Alliance OH, (Sep 30, 2020) – Special Power Sources selected for Phase I & II funding through U.S. ARMY via their Cooperative Grant program with agreement # W913E52020002.  SPS’ proposal, “EFFICIENT FUEL-FLEXIBLE HYBRID POWER SOULTION“ is being awarded a grant from the ERDC under their BAA W912HZ20BAA01.  BAA awards are highly competitive research-based programs that provide U.S. small businesses the opportunity to engage in cutting edge research, development, and commercialization.  Phase I & II of the BAA program emphasizes important technological challenges, the demonstration of the feasibility of the proposed technology, and allows small businesses to propose new innovative solutions to address them.

“US Army ERDC’s cooperative agreement is to take a SPS commercial SOFC bundle with the purpose of improving the operation and reliability in extreme cold weather climates to categorize its performance.   With the data captured, SPS will manufacture an improved SOFC bundle operating in a system to understand complete system performance, working collaboratively with CRREL to make improvements while increasing reliability in these extreme temperatures.”- Roland Dixon, President/CEO
